About the Expo & Training Day

Fusion Youth & Community would like to invite you to our Northern Expo & Training Day to be held on the 7th of Feb 2009. One of Fusion's goals is to inspire and equip kingdom-hearted people to be able to reach out to their local communities in a culturally relevant and effective way and we believe that this event will be significant in this respect.

We will be showcasing some of our work to date and showing plans for the future of Fusion YAC in the UK. We will also be conducting workshops that will enable delegates to hear first hand from people who have experience in the field. Our hope is that it will be a good opportunity for networking with others from across the region with a similar passion.

During the day there will be opportunities to hear about Fusion's training, youth outreach and more. So if you want to explore ways of reaching out in your local community, if you want a chance to network with other kingdom hearted people, or if you're just curious about what Fusion Youth and Community do, then we believe that this day is for you.
Workshop 1 (2:00 - 3:00)
  • The history of Fusion and their approach to mission in the UK
  • Youth Work: A process rather than an event
  • Research: Meeting real needs in partnership with the local community
  • Engaging with your community: Through Easter, Advent and Open Crowd Festivals
 Workshop 2 (3:15 - 4:15)
  • Shaping culture in mission
  • Helping young people find their place in
  • Putting on an Open Crowd Festival.

The expo is to be held at Calvary Christian Fellowship in Lostock Hall which is 5 minutes from junction 29 of the M6 off the A582, second left off Watkin Lane.

The cost of the day is £8. Extra small donation if you'd like to stay around for a small evening meal at 5:30pm.
